The job of the church is to delight in God. When we do, we find hope, for true hope is found nowhere and in no one else. And having discovered the One who really does give us delight and hope, we must share him with the world -- advancing His Kingdom. Ephesians 4:11,12 tells us that it is the responsibility of the leaders is to equip the saints (meaning all the Christians in the church) for ministry, for the "front lines" of His Kingdom. The people you will meet on these pages, along with our staff, want to help you find this delight, know His Hope, and teach you and equip you to live out this hope and invite others to know hope in Christ. Every one of our leaders is a disciple maker who is committed to helping you. Leadership Meetings Our leadership meetings have been changed in order to make a part of them specifically accessible for the whole congregation. Every second Monday (with some exceptions) we meet at 6:30 pm. The first half-hour is prayer for the Gospel, our obedience, discipleship, and our community. The second hour is a time to hear from one ministry, Q&A about that ministry, and then a time of prayer for the leaders of the ministry and for God's work in us through them. We want you to join us to hear about the ministry, ask question, and to pray for the leaders with us. Then at 8:00 pm the Elders meet in closed session, but those minutes are summarized each month in the View. You are welcome to join us. The general schedule will be as follows: 6:30 pm Pray for Village, the Gospel, and our Community (all welcome) 7:00 pm Ministry Report, Q&A, prayer for the ministry (all welcome) 8:00 pm Elder Meeting (Elders only) |
