Good Neighbor Ministry

There are many ways you can help serve your church and community by volunteering to help with this ministry.

Needs Assessments:

  • Team

  • Interviews

  • Researchers

Teachers:

  • Teach budgeting, parenting & cooking to families in needs

Mentoring Programs:

  • Coordinator

  • Put together team

  • Training

  • Mentors for men and women

Love Inc:

  • Team members to join this community ministry to provide for the needy

Thanksgiving Boxes:

Every Thanksgiving we provide gift baskets of food to families and individuals in our church family and the surrounding community who might be struggling to make ends meet.  These baskets consist of everything needed for a complete Thanksgiving meal - start to finish and goodies for the rest of the week.

  • Administrative assistant

  • Interviewers

  • Phoning

  • Track boxes

  • Coordinate with other community action groups

  • Assemble groceries in boxes

  • Shop for perishables

  • Organize boxes for pick up

  • Hand out boxes

  • Follow-up with families

Adopt - A - Family:

This program provides food and gifts to dozens of individuals and families at Christmas.  This is a special opportunity for all of us who have been blessed with prosperity to make a difference in someone else's life.  Just imaging what it would mean to a parent who could not afford Christmas gifts to be able to give their child a gift because of your generosity.
