Our Story
Village began in 1975 when 12 families began meeting for Bible study and worship.
Village Church began in 1975 when a small group of 12 families gathered with a shared desire to study God’s Word and worship together in the Loretto area. From the very beginning, Village has been shaped by people from diverse church backgrounds who were united around a common purpose: to know Jesus and make Him known.
Over the years, God has faithfully provided pastors and leaders who helped clarify and strengthen the values that continue to define us today. These values weren’t chosen in a moment—they were formed through decades of ministry, relationships, and intentional discipleship.
At our core, Village Church is grounded in a deep commitment to God’s Word, believing faithful teaching and preaching are essential for spiritual growth. Alongside this has been a long-standing passion for discipling children, youth, and families, seen in ministries designed to help the next generation know and follow Jesus.
As Village grew, a third value became clear: discipleship. Through small groups, mentoring relationships, and intentional pathways of spiritual growth, we strive to help people move from faith to maturity and into lives of service and leadership.
Over time, a fourth value emerged—community. We believe the church is more than a gathering; it is a family. Village is a place where relationships matter, people are known, and faith is lived out together in everyday life, both locally and globally.
Today, with a congregation of about 250, Village Church continues the never-finished work of becoming more like Jesus. What sets us apart isn’t just what we do, but the intention behind it—seeking God together, growing as disciples, and living out our faith with purpose in our community and beyond.
