Awana is a discipleship focused program that is dedicated to sharing the Gospel of Jesus to our children and helping them understand and memorize God’s Word. Included in our Awana program are three separate groups: Cubbies, Sparks, and Truth & Training. Each are geared towards the children of a particular age. Each week, Awana clubbers hear a message from God’s Word, work in their handbooks, memorize Scripture, sing, and playing high-energy games.

Cubbies
Cubbies is our fun-filled, two-year preschool program for children starting at age 3! It’s built on two simple ideas:
Little ones can learn about God—even at a young age!
Families play the most important role in a child’s spiritual growth.
Each week, our Cubbies take home a handbook packed with exciting adventures featuring Cubbie Bear, Luvie Lamb, and their lovable friends. The handbooks also include easy Bible verses to memorize, and parents can choose whether their child learns the whole verse or just a part of it.
On Cubbies night, the excitement continues as Cubbie Bear and Luvie Lamb puppets come to life! Kids hear Bible stories, sing fun songs with motions, run and play during game time, and get creative with crafts.
Through all the laughter, learning, and play, our biggest goal is to help children begin to know and love Jesus and understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Special Notes:
Children must be 3 years old by the first Cubbies meeting night in September.
Space is limited to 20 Cubbies, so early registration is encouraged.
Sparks
Sparks is a three-year discipleship program specifically for children in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade.
Rooted firmly in God’s Word, Sparks helps children build a strong biblical foundation by immersing them in Scripture. The program’s engaging handbooks guide kids through:
Foundational truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation, and the Bible
A clear and consistent presentation of the gospel message
A strong emphasis on Scripture memory, featuring a sequential journey through the Bible
Over the course of three years, children will learn and review more than 65 Bible verses, many focused on salvation and core Christian doctrine—laying the groundwork for lifelong biblical wisdom.
Kids also discover the lives of key Bible characters through captivating, age-appropriate biographies that bring Scripture to life.
Sparks club meetings blend learning and fun to create an exciting, high-energy environment kids love. Each meeting includes three dynamic parts:
Bible teaching and worship
Small-group interaction with Bible-based lessons
Age-appropriate games on the Awana game circle
Through Sparks, children grow in their understanding of God’s Word while having a great time along the way.
Truth & Training
Truth & Training (T&T) is a three-year program designed for students in 3rd through 5th Grade.
The name Truth & Training reflects Awana’s passion to teach children the truth of God’s Word and to train them to follow Christ in their everyday lives. T&T uses a variety of dynamic, age-appropriate tools to accomplish this mission, including:
Handbooks that guide children toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
Weekly club meetings that include gospel-centered teaching, Scripture memory, Bible study, team-based games, and lots of high-energy fun
A Bible-centered curriculum that helps kids build a strong foundation for their faith, hide God’s Word in their hearts, and apply biblical truths to daily life
Evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand in T&T. By the time a child completes the program, they will have:
Learned and reviewed hundreds of Bible verses
Studied dozens of passages from both the Old and New Testaments
Regularly heard and read the gospel message
Participated in missions projects that help them see the world through God’s eyes
T&T equips kids not only to know God’s Word—but to live it out with confidence and joy.
