Update on Staffing Changes

Hello Village Family,

I want to take a moment and give you an update on some of the staff transitions/searches currently happening at Village.

First, I am excited to let you know that Jamie Hill will be joining our staff, working part-time (about 10 hours a week) as our Director of Children’s Ministry. Jamie and her family have been attending Village for almost four years and currently leads our Children’s Ministry Leadership Team. We are excited to welcome her now as an official part-time staff member.

Second, we are currently receiving resumes for our full-time Student Ministries Pastor position. We have posted the position on numerous college, seminary and ministry job boards, and have been networking with other pastors and churches in our area as well. Right now in the church community, the youth pastor position is the most difficult position to hire. There are far more churches looking to fill this role than people pursuing these roles. I have been advised by multiple pastors to be patient in this particular search.

Third, we continue to be grateful to Hal Swift for providing interim leadership on the Worship Team. The worship team did a great job this past weekend for our Good Friday and Easter services. Hal will be with us through the end of June. We are seeking God for wisdom and direction as we seek a part-time Worship Leader to join our staff.

As we walk through this season, may we be a church committing our ways to God. Would you join me in regularly asking God to meet our needs in the area of youth and music? We will use our next Village Night of Prayer on May 1 to specifically focus on lifting these two areas to God. Would you join us on that night? Let’s be a church dependent on God in everything.

Finally, I want to thank Kelly Westberg for her continual great work as our Office Manager, and Anne Horch as she has been volunteering as our Communications Coordinator.

Thank you, Village Church, for being a family that cares well for each other. I look forward to how God will continue to use us to accomplish His purposes for His glory.

For Him,

Jeff Horch
Senior Pastor
